What Is Tape and Reel Packaging for SMD devices?
Tape and reel is the standard method for preparing SMD components for automatic pick-and-place systems. The components are individually placed into embossed carrier tape pockets and sealed with a cover tape—either heat-sealed or PSA-sealed. The loaded tape is then wound onto a reel for automated assembly lines.

Our tape and reel solutions ensure every part is properly aligned, inspected, and sealed. Available with CCD inspection, electrical testing and defective removal options.
